This past week, several members of the 3B Lab presented their work at the American Chemical Society Mid Atlantic Region Meeting, which was hosted at Seton Hall University.
Margret Pagare presented her work on light-active peptides and expanding the toolbox to FZ and YZ peptides as shown in her poster: “Studies of combinations of azobenzene and aromatic amino acid conjugates”
Siya Patel described the 3B Lab’s ongoing interest in peptide formulations with a poster titled: “Development of lipid nanoparticle formulations of antifungal peptides”
Akilah Mateen showed off potential peptide drug modifications in “Evaluation of antifungal potential of Cu2+ - ATCUN lipopeptides with inhibitory and membrane studies”.
Belmin Kolenovic spoke about some of the challenges with peptide drug delivery in a poster titled, “Peptide modification for reduced rate of degradation and increased solubility”
Finally, Dr. Wiedman gave a talk titled, “The development and uses of primary sequence azobenzene-containing peptides”.
All talks and posters were well received in the Biochemistry sessions.
